Sparkler’s Design Team Blog Hop!

Hello all my creative friends!  I’m super excited and exhausted after these past couple weeks around the SMS homebase!  The DT Call closed a couple days ago and I’m totally hustling over here!   Today we are hopping, no matter how tired this mama is.

So, you should have hopped over from the SMS blog but if not, no worries.  Today is your lucky day and filled with inspiration from this fabulous Sparklers Design Team!  Here’s my layout which was inspired by one of my favorite messy scrappers with her fussy cutting therapy and her love of messy mixed media!  Missy Whidden, just gotta say thanks girl!!  Your videos have kept me sane these last few weeks!

I started with a piece of American Crafts cardstock and added a little bit of white gesso across the background.  I added less mixed media than I planned and that’s ok.  I used the packaging technique and just plan ‘ol splatters of three different Shimmerz spray products:  Mama Sings The Blues Coloringz, Ruby Spritz  and Chick-a-dee Spritz .  I also added a few touches of the Past-eez aqua color called, Tree Hugger, which is amazing!!  I began layering all these fussy cut flowers from the the Shimelle Little by Little colletion and really LOVE how all the layering turned out.  I also used a small glassine bag and part of a Chantilly Lace 8″ doily behind my photo.

I topped off my layout with a few Sweet Pea sequins and  added a few pops of cork to add some contrast and that’s it today!!  I’m so happy you stopped to spend your time with us today!  Now, you’re on to the Pink Glitter Scrapper Lisa!  Have a great hop!
